Zipline is the general term for rope slides. Flying fox refers to a special, larger zipline course that is offered in many adventure parks, such as AREA 47 in Tyrol.
The Flying Fox Tour in AREA 47 in the Ötztal valley costs from 31 € for adults and 26 € for children.
‘Flying fox’ describes the elegant way in which you glide through the air on a zip line. The name comes from the similarity of the movement to that of a flying fox or bat, which also fly smoothly through the air. Originally, zip lines were used in mining or to cross gorges and rivers, but today they are a popular adventure activity in amusement parks.
The Flying Fox is available for those aged 12 and up. You can find general information about our age restrictions and requirements here.
The Flying Fox is located at a height of 27 meters.
We plan for the tour to last a maximum of 1.5 hours.
