At the entrance to Ötztal at the pier for the Ache bridge a 27 metre high lead climbing area awaits. The climbing wall which has routes in all difficulty area is also the highest artificial climbing tower in Austria. There are so many challenges, even for expert climbers, yet all the routes head in only one direction: up. If you want to take the challenge you have to have taken the lead climbing test organised by the ÖAV or the DAV and be able to prove that you have experience of climbing.
Lead climbing in AREA 47 and swimming fun Ötztal
Bring your own climbing equipment or hire all or individual items at super good-value prices in AREA 47, if you don't have everything you need in your rucksack. The climbing tower is the highest artificial climbing wall in Austria. You have the opportunity here to test out and hone your climbing skills.
Bouldering in Ötztal means freedom and pure self-experience! Without ropes, helmet and belt you find your own way, just like your great free climbing role models. In the Boulder Cave you find out just how much strength you have in your fingers and calves. While bouldering you get to hone your climbing technique and try out new handholds. When you run out of strength, just down from a maximum of four metres to the ballast bed. Then climbing fun can start all over again.
Tip: If you have already paid your entry fee for the Water AREA use of the climbing tower area is already included in the price.
